The Tyrolean Hound is a medium, rectangular scenthound with a short red or black-and-tan coat, dropped ears, and a sturdy mountain outline. The tail is saber-like.

The Tyrolean Hound, or Tiroler Bracke, is an Austrian scenthound used to hunt hare and to follow wounded game in the Tyrol. The UKC classes it as a Scenthound.

Temperament

These hounds are typically hardy, loyal to their hunter, and determined on a track. They have a carrying voice and need more running than a short walk.
